Community Events

The Missouri History Museum offers year-round programming designed to engage the community. Community programs are developed based on the diverse interests, needs, and learning styles of our visitors.

Film presentations at the Missouri History Museum seek to forge connections between history and popular media. Films are often combined with lectures and panel discussions to develop a deeper understanding of historical topics and contemporary issues.

Musical performances at the Missouri History Museum are designed to engage visitors in diverse genres in an informal setting. Whether in the galleries or on the front lawn, music at the Museum will move you.

Lectures and Talks

The Missouri History Museum provides a number of lecture and talk series that were created to tackle difficult subject matter, provide expert insight, and increase community dialogue.

Our Theatre and Performance programs combine historical topics with dramatic interpretations to allow visitors to experience history in a non-traditional format.  From full stage plays to one-person performances, there is a program for everyone.

Whether you want to learn some new moves or research your family history, our interactive workshops provide you and opportunity to learn from experts in the field.
