Justice in the Prison System: From the 1972 Sit-In to Today

In 1972 a group of St. Louis citizens protested inadequate conditions at the St. Louis City Jail with a three-day sit-in that ended in violence as police clashed with protesters. Join us for a panel discussion featuring Regina Dennis-Nana and Bobby “Brother Bob” Williams, the citizen negotiators during the sit-in, to learn more about the 1972 protest and engage in conversation about how it connects to contemporary issues in the prison system.
